Solar for tenants

Why solar now works for tenants

  1. A doubled SEAI grant, for a limited timeUp to 45% of the cost, for applications made by 6 July 2027. SEAI pays the grant directly to you, and we handle the paperwork.
  2. Tax relief in year oneUnder the Accelerated Capital Allowance, companies can write off qualifying solar equipment against profits in the year of purchase.
  3. Paid back within your leaseWith the grant and tax relief, systems pay back in circa 2 to 3 years, within most lease terms.
  4. Lower bills from day oneEvery unit of solar you use is a unit you don't buy at the day rate. Surplus can be exported to the grid.
  5. Your investment can move with youThe inverter and batteries, a large share of the value, can come with you to your next premises.

Is it right for your business?

  • A few years or more left on your lease
  • High electricity use during the working day
  • A large warehouse, factory or unit roof
  • Your landlord's permission, and we'll help you ask for it

Payback figures are estimates only, not guaranteed by Solectric. Grants are subject to SEAI approval and eligibility.

Moving premises? Take it with you

Solectric can relocate your system for you. We'll show the value of moving it in your proposal, and advise on any grant open to you at your new premises.

  • Hybrid inverter

Disconnected and reinstalled at your new premises.

  • Battery storage

Modular batteries move with you and can be added to later.

  • Solar panels

Move them too, or leave them as an asset for your landlord.

What's in it for your landlord

You stay in charge of the conversation with your landlord. We give you the benefits to show them, and a template letter to send in your own name.

  • The panels are an asset that adds value to the premises
  • A better BER
  • A protected roof
  • Full specification, warranties, insurance and certification
  • A secure long-term tenant
  • In some cases, a contribution to the cost or a rent adjustment
